We finally broke free, it’s just you and me; we’ve got this whole park to call our own.
We’re making the news, we’re trending online - escaped capybaras, Bonnie & Clyde.

This spring is the season of you and I, I know just why, you know just why.
Just two little weirdos running around, trying to avoid the paparazzi.

We’re running, running free. We’re running, you and me.
We’re running through the woods, we’re running real fast and it feels real good.
The wind on our fur, and the casual dips, no humans to please,
I’m loving living like this.

The springtime rolls on, they keep up their search,
they’re setting their traps hoping we might lurch.
I’m craving some corn, some fruit might be nice,
but freedom for us won’t likely come twice.
